Sumter County has set up an emergency telephone notification system which can be used to notify you of emergency conditions in your area and many other alert categories.... If you are in the phone book, you are automatically in the alert data base, however, if you use a cell phone for your primary telephone or if you wish to also be notified on your cell phone, you can sign up on the Sumter County Sheriff's website.
